How it works
Before the visit
- Check your postal code. We tell you whether we come to your street and which travel zone you are in.
- Tell us about your dog. Size, coat, age, and anything we should know (nervous, sore hips, hates the dryer). Photos of the coat help.
- See the exact price and pick a time. We only show times that fit the van's route that day.
- Add a card and your dog's vaccine record. Your card is charged after the groom, not now. We need proof of a current rabies vaccination before the visit. Upload a photo of the certificate, or have your vet send it.
You get a confirmation text straight away, a reminder 48 hours before (reply C to confirm), and your arrival window on the morning of the groom.
On the day
- Your groomer texts "on my way" with an arrival time. Windows are 30 minutes.
- Park-up needs: a spot for the van within a short walk of your door, and a flat surface. The van runs on its own water and power, so you do not need to provide either.
- Hand your dog over at the door or walk them to the van yourself. You can stay outside or go back indoors. Most owners go back indoors, and dogs are generally calmer without a crowd at the door.
- One dog at a time. Your dog is never in a cage and never next to other dogs.
- How long it takes. The time guide for each size and coat is on the pricing page. Thick, curly or matted coats take longer.
After the groom
You get photos, a note from your groomer about skin, ears or anything worth a vet look, and a receipt. Your card is charged and you can add a tip. Before the van leaves you can rebook the same time in 4, 6 or 8 weeks with one tap.
A few hours later we text a short rating request and a link to review us on Google. Everyone gets the request, not just happy customers.
What we need from you
- A current rabies certificate on file.
- A quiet spot where the van can stop.
- Someone home to hand over the dog, or a message in the booking saying where to find them.
- A heads-up about biting, fear or health problems. We would rather plan for it than be surprised.
Dogs we cannot take on
If a dog is in pain, very frail, or too distressed to be groomed safely, your groomer stops and we talk with you. We would rather rebook than push a dog through it. Details are in the FAQ.
Questions
Where do you go?
We are starting in Kitchener and Waterloo. Cambridge is next. We work one zone per day, so not every street is served every day. Enter your postal code and we tell you straight away whether we come to you and on which days.
How does mobile grooming work?
Our van parks outside your home. Your groomer grooms your dog in the van, one dog at a time, then sends you photos and a receipt. You get a reminder 48 hours before and an arrival window on the morning.
Do I need to be home?
Someone should be there to hand your dog over, and to sign off anything unusual by text. After handover you can go back indoors. If nobody can be home, say so at booking and tell us where to find your dog. We will confirm that it works before the day.
How long does a groom take?
It depends on size and coat. A small short-coated dog is about an hour. A large doodle can take two and a half hours. The time guide for every size and coat is on the pricing page, and your arrival window is 30 minutes.
How long does booking take?
About a minute. Postal code, your dog's size and coat, the service, a time. Your price shows before you give any details, and you do not need an account to look.
Do you groom cats or other pets?
Dogs only.
Which dogs can you groom?
Dogs of every size from under 10 lb to over 80 lb, and every coat type we list. Dogs with a history of biting, severe fear, or health problems are welcome when we know in advance, so the groomer can plan the visit. Behaviour handling is listed on the pricing page.
Can I book my puppy?
Yes, once their rabies vaccination is current, which is the same record every dog needs. Book the "Puppy intro" add-on for a short, gentle first visit that teaches them what to expect. Not sure about your puppy's vaccine timing? Ask us before you book.
What vaccines do you require?
A current rabies vaccination, shown by the vet's certificate. Upload a photo at booking or after. We remind you before it expires. Without a current record we cannot start the groom.
What if my groomer is running late?
You get a text with a new arrival time as soon as we know, and you can reschedule without a fee if the new time does not work.
Do you work in winter and bad weather?
Yes. The van is heated, so your dog is groomed in a warm cabin all year. If conditions are unsafe for driving we reschedule you to the next available time with no fee.
How do I contact you?
Text our business number, use the contact form, or use the chat on this site. We do not publish an email address, to keep spam out. Anything you send by form or text lands in the same inbox and a person replies.
What if I need to cancel?
Free more than 24 hours before. Within 24 hours there is a fee of 50% of the booked price. Within 2 hours, or if nobody is there when we arrive, it is 100%. See the cancellation policy.
What if I am not happy with the groom?
Tell us the same day by text. We look at your photos, listen, and put it right. Every customer is asked for a rating after a groom, and a low rating alerts our manager.
Why does everyone get asked for a review?
Google does not allow businesses to ask only happy customers. We ask everyone, so the reviews you read are the real mix.
Where is my information stored?
In the United States, on Amazon Web Services. The privacy policy explains what we collect and how to ask us to change or delete it.
